MATERNAL AND INFANT HEALTH
PROGRAM
The Tug River Health Association's Maternal and Infant
Health Program is an excellent program for first-time moms
or moms-to-be.  The program is offered at no cost to the
participant.  To qualify for services, you must be a resident
of McDowell County, pregnant or have a child under one
year of age.  Services provided are:

  • In County Transportation to medical and WIC
    appointments
  • Advocacy and assistance in Medicaid/WIC application
  • Childbirth Education
  • Referrals to various service organizations
  • Newborn Parenting Education
